Storeton Farm, Wirral

Run By Mike & Phil Harding

Mike and his wife Grace, both from farming families moved from Cheshire to Wirral in 1982 having gained the tenancy of Storeton Farm, part of the Leverhulme estate. Mike and Grace were a dynamic partnership and worked together very hard to establish a strong business base for the future. Sadly Grace died in 2010 but she would be proud of the way the family have continued to develop and grow the business.

The Family

Mike now farms in partnership with his son Phil who was 12 yrs old when they moved to the Wirral. Phil studied full time at Reaseheath College on leaving school and met Jen his wife through the Young Farmers Club. Jen, also a farmers daughter was brought up at Willaston on the Wirral. Phil and Jen married in 2000 and they now have three children Finnoule (13yrs), Ben (11yrs) and Rosheen (8yrs). All the family help on the farm.

The Farm

The Harding family now farm nearly 750 acres – they care for 350 dairy cows in addition to 350 beef animals.
